Levitt Pavilion’s free concert series — which returns this summer to south Denver’s Ruby Hill Park (1380 W. Florida Ave.) — is unusually robust for no-cost seasonal programming.

Levitt Pavilion’s free concert series — which returns this summer to south Denver’s Ruby Hill Park (1380 W. Florida Ave.) — is unusually robust for no-cost seasonal programming.

While the nonprofit venue offers a handful of ticketed concerts, including Rob Thomas (June 10), Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World (June 22), and Tower of Power (Aug. 3), the vast majority of its shows require no tickets, only an advance RSVP at levittdenver.org.

The venue’s third summer season is funded by sponsorships and on-site concession sales, according to a press statement. Donations and VIP upgrades are also available “to help keep the music going for years to come,” organizers said.

“Levitt is still in growth mode as an organization and as a venue,” said executive director Chris Zacher in the press statement. “In 2017 nobody knew what Levitt was. That is now changing but there’s still a lot of work to do. This off-season we spent a tremendous amount of time working on our artistic bookings and improving the venue for the concert goers experience.”

Here’s what we can expect from the mix of local and national touring acts spanning rock, pop, jazz, folk, orchestral and norteña genres.
